Meet Alicia Benetatos, a beautiful contemporary artist from Melbourne, Victoria. Alicia has always had a passion for fine arts despite being formally trained in Graphic Design. Painting has been her love since childhood, but it took a back seat during her 12-year career in digital print. After starting a family, Alicia decided it was time to return to her true passion-painting.

Inspired by nature, botanicals, and her day to day surroundings, Alicia's abstracts are all about colour and texture. Utilising her previous paintings to influence her present ones, Alicia photographs many of her existing works up close, to digitally reinvent and revitalise their colour work, mark making and brush strokes. This produces innovative compositions that may be replicated on the canvas, or used to prompt new concepts that are sparked by her inspirations.

Alicia's artworks capture an energy that sparks instinctual emotional reactions, leading to deeply personal interpretations.
