Renew

This piece has a heavy layering of texture showing indents & ripples inspired by the markings and wearing of the trunks of the trees. It shows the leaves and bark falling away in sections revealing the different graining of the timber and the scribbly designs left by moth larvae as they tunnel between layers of bark. The line designs throughout also represent tree carvings which were once common throughout Wiradjuri Country pre colonisation.
